OPPORTUNITY – Learn to Innovate & Earn a Stipend – for STEM professionals

The San Diego Incubator for Innovation invites early career professionals in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) to participate in innovation training and research. Learn innovation skills, earn money, and contribute to the development of innovation best practices through the San Diego Water & Innovation Challenge.

  • Participate in five 4-hour workshops on consecutive Saturdays, January 10th – February 7th, 2015.
  • Earn a stipend of $500 for full participation.
  • Learn innovation practices from industry leaders.
  • Work in teams to innovate solutions to the challenge of regional water scarcity.
  • Be part of research about innovation best practices, funded by the National Science Foundation.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Work in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics (STEM) for ten years or less.
    • Educators, practitioners, and graduate students in STEM are welcome to apply.
  • Have at least two years college education.
  • Have professional competency in English language.
  • Be able to attend all five training session on the following Saturdays:
    • January 10, 2015
    • January 17, 2015
    • January 24, 2015
    • January 31, 2015
    • February 7, 2015

Application deadline is November 30, 2014.
