iGEM UCSD Undergraduate Research Opportunity – No Experience Required

Looking for a summer research position?

iGEM UCSD, an interdisciplinary group dedicated to working on student-driven synthetic biology research, is currently seeking self-motivated, creative undergraduates to partake in synthetic biology-oriented research, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of undergraduates, graduates, and Bioengineering faculty to create a project to present at this year’s competition.

iGEM – the International Genetically Engineered Machine – is an annual student competition hosted by MIT for the advancement of synthetic biology, providing a unique research experience to its entrants at their respective institutions. This year, UCSD will send a team of undergraduates to represent our institution on an international level.

The team will be hosting an informal information seminar late next week, time and date TBD. There, we will provide a description of our project and hold a Q&A session to answer any questions that you may have.
