Case Western Reserve University Molecular Medicine PhD Program Application

Dear Prospective Student,

I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you about the Case Western Reserve University Molecular Medicine PhD Program. I serve as the Recruiting and Administrative Coordinator and we are eagerly looking for highly motivated students like you. Our PhD program is very unique as it is an academic partnership between the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). This program brings clinical relevance to laboratory research. A new ranking of national universities based on their “lasting contributions to society” puts Case Western Reserve 11th in the country, just behind Carnegie Mellon and ahead of Princeton, Dartmouth and Cornell universities. Cleveland Clinic has consistently been named one of the nation’s best hospitals and the Lerner Research Institute has more than 175 faculty investigators who have appointments within the Department of Molecular Medicine at CWRU. As a student in this program you will get to work on disease oriented programs that include cancer, cardiovascular, neurologic, musculoskeletal, eye, allergic and immunologic, metabolic, genetic, infectious diseases and more. Also all students accepted into the Molecular Medicine program will receive $28,500 a year stipend (effective 2016) and free tuition throughout their graduate training. All students admitted into the program will also have core curriculum books and laptop provided. Student health insurance will also be provided through CWRU.

Our program is a unique opportunity that allows you the best of both worlds: The opportunity to pursue a PhD program in both a university and in a healthcare atmosphere; the opportunity to join the group of thousands of Cleveland Clinic scientists that continue to make advancements in the field of research. If you’re interested in learning more about our program please fill out the information through the Molecular Medicine PhD Interest Form. Our application is due on January 15th, 2016 and you can learn more about the program here.  Please let me know if I can be any questions regarding our program. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
