TITLE: Breaking Amides and Recent Initiatives in Chemical Education

ABSTRACT: This presentation will describe my laboratory’s recent efforts to develop methodologies that rely on non-precious metal catalysis to cleave amide carbon-nitrogen bonds.  In addition, initiatives in the realm of chemical education, including organic chemistry music videos and online tutorials, will be discussed.
