The Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation – Dr. Paul Roben – would like to invite undergraduate students with ideas from all disciplines to apply for the inaugural Summer Innovation Incubator.
This is a pilot incubator program and 10 undergraduate students from across campus will be selected to receive a $2500 stipend and participate in the 8 week incubator to develop their idea.
The program is open to all undergraduates who will be continuing in Fall 2018. Students do not need to be a part of any current entrepreneurship programs or have entrepreneurial experience.

Hi everyone,
ChemPAL invites you to its Grad Student Research Panel next Tues 6/5 at 5:30-7pm in NSB Auditorium!
At the event, you will hear short talks from grad students about their research and how/why they decided to pursue it and grad school. You will also have time to ask your own questions about research, grad school, and more!
This is a great chance to see what research entails, check out some of the many areas of chemistry research, and learn how to get started. It is also an excellent opportunity if you are already involved in undergrad research and considering grad school.
Email chempal@ucsd.edu and check out our website (chempal.ucsd.edu) if you have any questions or want additional information!

“Neal Devaraj (University of California, San Diego) – Dr. Devaraj is a biochemist whose transformative work on the synthesis of artificial cells and membranes has created an exciting new field of research that aims to address one of the great challenges in synthetic biology. He has made several game-changing discoveries. Among his signature achievements is the development of new methods for labeling biological molecules, which are so widely used by researchers that reagent suppliers now include his probes in their catalogs.” http://ow.ly/3Gch30khddk
